Just finished ‘Whiteout’ and wanted to say thanks for yet another great story. I’m a 25 year old Anglophone living in Québec City, Québec, Canada. I teach English here and often use sections of your stories in class. I’m originally from Vancouver, B.C., and have read your stories since I was a lad.
Take care and thanks again.

I was very excited today when I visited your site for the first time in quite a while. ‘Pillars of the Earth’ has long been one of my favorite reads and has been suggested by me to many readers. I have no clue how you could make this novel into a sequel and this adds to the suspense of waiting for its release. Thanks so much for writing ‘Jackdaws’ and ‘Hornet Flight’ - I’ve been missing the spy genre.

I delighted to read that you are working on a sequel to ‘The Pillars of the Earth’. It was such an amazing book; best I have ever read. Who would have thought that events surrounding the building of a cathedral would be so gripping?
Best of luck with the follow up. You have a great responsibility on your shoulders. Look forward to reading the book.

I just finished ‘The Pillars of the Earth’, and closed the final page with regret at leaving the world you created. I must tell you that this is one of the best novels I have ever read. I thank you for writing it! I think it is truly a masterpiece, and I don’t say that lightly. I know you’re goal is to entertain, but there’s great wisdom in your book as well, about what a well lived life might be.
The construction of the plot is as satisfying as one of the great cathedrals you write about; and the characters, and their thoughts, are utterly engrossing. And lovable. The spectacle of that historic period is brought to life so vividly, it is truly amazing. A wonderfully researched, superbly executed, moving and absorbing work. I can’t believe I got to experience it for just a few dollars!
I found your ‘Lie Down With Lions’ in the hospital a few weeks ago, and started it. It drew me in, a rare event. Enjoyed it very much, and then bought ‘Eye of the Needle,’ also a fascinating wonderful book. But ‘Pillars of the Earth’ just blew me away.

I’m very keen on your books, my favourite one is "The Pillars of the Earth", but I have read many of them and I love them. Now I’m reading "the Modigliani Scandal". I have to say that I have read all of them in Spanish, but I think you are the best writer in the world. Thank you for your books.
I look forward to your letters. Please write to me via the Contact page, and do see earlier letters…
If you’ve read several of my books, you might enjoy matching the first line with the title, or guessing the working title
