This is Benedict from Ghana. Even though I haven’t read your current novel I got an old book from a friend at school. Guess which book? It’s ‘Triple’, I read it for three days, four hours a day and didn’t do well in my exams but I still think you are the best writer I have ever known. Keep on writing and I will like you the more, I believe that there are more books to come.

Dear Mr. Follett,
I have been reading your books since ‘Eye of the Needle’ and love all of them. On Friday I received ‘Whiteout’ from the UK, (I hate waiting for new books to be published in the US) and quickly got started on it. Well, my chores and everything else were put aside, and I finished the book by Sunday morning. It was splendid!
Thanks for another gripping read! This would make a great television drama as well.

I have now read four of your books, and I have become a big fan!! I started with ‘Eye of the Needle’, and I was hooked immediately. And I get more and more hooked for each book I read. Even though your books are translated into Norwegian, I read all your books in English so that I’m sure that nothing is missing from the original. Right now I’m reading ‘The Man from St. Petersburg’, and it is exciting from the very first chapter, as the same with the other books. Yesterday, I bought two more of your books, and I’m planning to read all your books.
I just have to thank you for all the great books that you have written and I hope many more will come in the future.

Good day, Mr. Follett,
Just letting you know that I began reading your books while I was on tour in Afghanistan this past summer (I am with the Canadian military). Your stories kept the long and uncertain hours at bay. I am home now and will continue to read your novels. Keep up the great work. I have passed your torch over to my comrades who are still overseas.

I was introduced to your books back in the late ’70s when my then boyfriend gave me a dog-eared paperback called ‘Eye of the Needle’. He insisted that I read it and I was totally hooked on this British author named Follett after that. I have every one of your books… the pride of my collection. I have given copies of your books to friends, lovers and relatives as gifts over the years urging they read them… they are all now converts!
I was excited to learn that you are working on a sequel to ‘The Pillars of the Earth’ … one of my all-time favorites … not all-time favorite Follett book, but one of my all-time favorite books. Period.
Thank you so much for your work… I have enjoyed it so much over the years. Curling up with a cup of coffee and the latest Follett book… a h! heaven!
I look forward to your letters. Please write to me via the Contact page, and do see earlier letters…
If you’ve read several of my books, you might enjoy matching the first line with the title, or guessing the working title
